(Long Island, NY February 19, 2013) Medical equipment manufacturer, Quantum Medical Imaging has completed an installation of a single detector digital imaging system incorporating the DRive DR Digital Solution (“DRive” is a fully featured and cost effective DR upgrade solution) digital receptor at the Orthopedic Sports and Workers Medical Group located in Lodi, CA. Orthopedic Sports and Workers Medical Group is an Orthopedic Medicine and Rehabilitation Practice located in Lodi, CA.

The flexibility of the DRive DR digital receptor allows for the detector to be used in the table as well as in the wall stand and for tabletop exams. The versatility of the system allows the DRive DR receptor to be positioned for patients on gurneys or in wheelchairs or for tabletop exams. This is extremely important for imaging their patients without having to move them onto the radiographic table.

Medical equipment manufacturer, Quantum Medical Imaging has completed an installation of a Q-Rad-DIGITAL “DRX Series” Radiographic System at St. Joseph Health System in Tawas City, Michigan. The sale and installation was facilitated by Radiology Imaging Solutions of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Radiology Imaging Solutions is a Quantum “Gold Star” Dealer in the U.S.A.

St. Joseph Health System, a member of Ascension Health, is a non-profit healthcare system that is governed by a local board of trustees represented by residents, medical staff and sister sponsorships and has been providing medical care since 1953. Its 49 bed hospital is located in rural northeast Michigan serving the counties of Alcona, Arenac, Iosco, Ogemaw and Oscoda with a population of approximately 87,000 residents. In 2010, SJHS provided more than $1.6 million in charity care to the uninsured and underinsured residents in the community.

The digital radiographic system installation at St. Joseph Health Systems included Quantum’s Ceiling Mounted Imaging System fully integrated with a Single Carestream DRX-1 wireless detector and Image Processing. The system also included a QUIET-LIFT elevating table with a 650 lbs. patient weight capacity as well as a VERTI-Q Wall Stand with a rotating tray feature.

This updated DR imaging configuration provides the imaging facility with full flexibility in imaging their patients. The portability of the DRX-1 wireless detectors allows the detector to be placed around the patient versus positioning the patient around the detector, which is critical when imaging some of their emergency room patients with restrained mobility. This upgrade installation results in facilities improved patient care and patient through-put.

Quantum Completes a Digital Upgrade to 3 Radiographic Exam Rooms at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe, LA

The upgrade installation at the St. Francis Medical Center included integration of the DRX wireless technology with existing radiographic systems. The radiographic systems now operate with a portable detector in a table and a wall stand. Both the table and the wall stand are designed to house the DRX-1 wireless detector allowing the technologists to remove it for extremity and off table exams. This digital upgrade also included two DRX-Mobile Retrofit Kits for GE Mobile Systems. Now the same benefits of detector portability are available on the mobile radiographic systems in the facility.

Colorado Springs Orthopaedic Group provides the latest in digital imaging technology. Their x-ray suite is entirely digital and offers faster, safer, and more comprehensive computed digital radiography. Digital radiography uses lower doses of radiation compared to conventional x-ray and is more environmentally friendly because chemical processing is eliminated. And because the x-ray is on-site, it's more convenient and takes less time than having to go to the hospital to have x-rays taken.

The installation at the CSOG included two (2) Floor Mounted Q-Rad-DIGITAL “DRX Series” systems fully integrated with the DRX Wireless Detector with an elevating table and a wall stand.
